Victoria’s heart is not only to be an inspiring mother and encouraging wife, but to also communicate God’s Word with warmth and laughter, inspiring other ladies to pursue a more intimate relationship with Him. Her passion is to see herself, her family and others embrace the joys of walking with Christ in everyday experiences. Victoria has been a teacher specializing in reading and kids with disabilities for 10 years before being full time in ministry with her husband, Rusty.

I am Courtney Huffman and honored to be starting my 11th year here at Kids Connection Preschool. I graduated from Plainfield High School in 1999 and then attended Joliet Junior College to study Early Childhood Education. I have been working in the ECE field for over 20 years. I have held various roles in my career such as a teacher’s assistant, lead teacher, one-on-one aide, as well as a Preschool Director.

I have been married for just over 23 years to my husband Damon. We are blessed with 3 children, Connor, Skylar, and Liam. I love watching our kids compete in their sports, hanging out with friends and family, and snuggling up with a good book and a cup of coffee!

I am Kaiya Collins and this is my first year working with Kids Connection Preschool, and I’m so excited to be part of the team! I’ve spent the past seven years working with children in grades K–5 through the YMCA Kid-Zone before and after school program. I also serve here at Victory City Church in both the youth and kids ministries.

I earned my Associate’s degree in Digital Media Production from Joliet Junior College and plan to continue my education at St. Francis University in the fall of 2026, majoring in Elementary Education.

In my free time, I love reading, going to the gym, and spending time with my loved ones!

I am Carley Scott and this is my first year with Kids Connection as an assistant. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of helping in different classrooms whenever needed, and it’s always been such a joy.

My husband and I are grateful to have sent our three children to Kids Connection Preschool. Their knowledge—both academically and spiritually—grew so much during their time here, and they developed a real eagerness to learn more about Christ.

I’m thrilled to now be part of your child’s growth and learning journey this year!

I am so very blessed to be a part of Kids Connection Preschool as a lead teacher. Children are a gift from God and to be able to help them learn is one of the greatest joys of my life!

I am married to my husband, Daniel, and we have two wonderful children, Matthew and Sarah. I have always had a heart for children, and they have brought me more joy than I could have ever imagined. The love that I have for them is immeasurable!

My name is Beth Harkness and I am excited to continue working another year at Kids Connection. I graduated from Victor J. Andrew High School in 2002. I went to Moraine Valley Community College for one semester before interning at Walt Disney World for 7 months.

When I came back, I finished college and earned my degree for Early Childhood Education. I worked with children for 7 years before taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom.
I have been married for almost 20 years to my Disney sweetheart Dan. We are grateful to be raising four beautiful girls, Natalia, Leona, Susanna and Daniela.

All four girls attended Kids Connection, and love coming back to visit when they are off from school. You can usually find us in the bleachers for a volleyball game, the bowling alley watching a match, or at home enjoying a friendly game of Ticket to Ride.

I'm excited to join the KC team this year! I've been involved in children's ministry for over eight years. Additionally, I bring three years of experience working with children from infants to prek, both as an assistant and lead teacher.

I graduated a year early from a Pennsylvania Charter High School in 2021 and took a gap year to seek God's direction for my life. In 2022, God led me to attend college in Pennsylvania where I earned a T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship to study ECE. I am passionate about teaching and dedicating my whole self-body, mind, soul, and spirit- to nurturing God's wonderful children. Outside of teaching, I enjoy singing, baking, cooking, antiquing, spending time outdoors, and being with my family. As one of six children, family is very important to me.

My name is Janice Schutter. I have been blessed to be part of the Kids Connection team in a several different roles since 2017. My current position is lead teacher and I am thankful to be surrounded with such an incredible team. My husband Ken and I have served in Kids Ministry here at VCC for many years.

We have three children Ken Jr, Brittany and Sarah, two bonus children Cate and Nick. We also have a beautiful granddaughter Kennedy who we adore. My favorite thing to do in my free time is spend time with my family.
